ACROSS THE GROUND

Around 1830 the first patents für vehicles with tracks were granted. Although only in 1901 Alvin Lombard constructed a commercially succesful tracked vehicle for which he applied for a patent. Since then the development of crawlers started to increase and, as often, was enforced through the use by the military.

Meanwhile there exists a variety of chain variants and engine concepts. This type of drive technology is chosen for machines that are used cross country or on steep inclines. Nowadays all kinds of vehicles, from bulldozers to excavators, drills up to a variety of builiding site machinery is moving on tracks.
